Changing the Rules
The Rule of Thumb I was taught is that if you're running for more than an hour or so, you should use nip guards and/or body glide. Less than an hour, you don't need to worry about it. Well, after tonight I'm going to lower that threshold to around 45 minutes. I'm just saying.

I think that rule of thumb (?) needs to be expanded. There are so many factors.
I forgot body glide for my last marathon, and was moderately concerned about my poor chest. It was, however, quite cool the entire race. Just under four hours running and I had no nipple issues.
Other days, I've gone out for an hour, in more intense heat, and had problems.
If i wear technical shirts, i will not have problems.
I guess my nipples are technical shirts friendly.
with or without body glide Mister P kick my ass last night... But he was running a little funny!
